I like smaller hotels, because they have character. The room design and furnishings were modern and interesting. I enjoyed the wood, natural tone tile, and iron work. You won't find this style in any of the big fancy hotels nearby. The continental breakfast is in the adjacent restaurant, a nice morning atmosphere. The nightly rate is reasonable, and the staff were friendly.
The Impala Hotel is immediately adjacent to Collins avenue. Hence, there is some noise from traffic and midnight revelers. The Miami Beach Conference Center is a bit farther that I expected. It's within walking distance (for me), but I was soaked before arriving.
1) Location 2) kind cuban waitress serving breakfast
The description provided by booking is completely misleading. No services at the reception, no elevator, no vending and ice machine available in the hotel. The room was really tiny and smelling, the fan was noisy, the bathroom small and scruffy. We got bugs and roaches crawling on the floor. Spending 4 nights here it has been pretty much a nightmare. This place has nothing to do with a design hotel. Although it is rated a 3 stars hotel, I'd rather compare it to a 1 star hotel of the lowest level. My suggestion : stay away, it's a rip off !
Very stylish (italian style) and comfortable, nice patio with small fontain and a lot of plants. It was calm, clean and peacefull. Also room and bathroom were big. There is valet parking with good price.
Hardly noticable (from the street).
Stayed here on whim for 4 days during 4th of July week. Hotel was beautiful, recently renovated. Very quiet, a nice break from the rest of South Beach. Large rooms for South Beach, very close to beach, very clean, comfortable bed. Room included mini fridge at no extra charge. Very nice italian restaurant next door.
No ice machine in lobby, had to ask staff to get it from restaurant.
Perfect location - one block from the Ocean Drive and from the beach, one block from Washington Avenue where the Miami Ink shop is located (known from the tlc show). Beautiful small courtyard at the entrance, very nice interiors, very cozy room and very nice bathrrom with large shower space.
On the Booked.net site there was the info that free late check out at 3 pm was possible; it turned out that it was 2 pm only, which was important to us, as this was our last day in Miami.
The rooms are very clean and the service was the best I've ever had.....the hotel restaurant was amazing...I loved it so much I'm having my boyfriend take me back for a romantic getaway
Nothing...... I would go back anytime ;)
The only plus to this hotel was the fine Italian restaurant - Spiga which occupied the front of the building.
This hotel is a dump. I would like to know who photoshopped the photos on their website. The room's ceiling fan, refrigerator and smoke detector were non-functional. There were no wash clothes or extra toilet paper in the bathroom and the sink had a large kitchen faucet which made washing your face and not getting water all over the place a challange. Valet parking was only avaiable Fri. Through Sun. And was outsourced to a company that reqiured upfront cash payment of $20/day. Only two of the four front desk people we saw were helpful. The continental breakfast was a joke Hampton Inn does better.
The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The location was the best aspect as it was very central to everything South Beach has to offer.
The bathroom configuration - the sink spout was too long and water splashed out everytime you used it and the shower took some tinkering to get a tolerable water temperature.
Nice hotel at a very good location in Miami beach. We got an upgrade to the nicest room of the hotel, 210. a big suite. And although the room was on the street side, we did not had troubles with noice.
The front door of our room seemed quite fragile, easy to open but nothing happened.
We were two friends went together for a vacation. We stayed in this hotel to have access to the south beach. Our room was in first floor very close to front desk. The staff were very welcoming. The rooms were very clean The bathroom design was unique and very relaxing with excellent odor control. Beds were very comfy. We slept like babies. I did not notice any noise as mentioned in other reviews. However, given the location and services provided, the hotel fair value for the money. I loved the fact the staff were speaking French ans Spanish very fluently. Also, the hotel is connected to a nice authentic Italian restaurant.
Staff do not help with luggage. Hotel entrance is far from street. Tv screen is located on one side of the room. Internet was very slow. Room needs more cloth storage compartments.
